The Blue Donkey is loose in Mississauga.
Friday October 21, 2011
There’s something new on the streets of Mississauga. It’s big. It’s blue. It’s on wheels. And it’s serving some of the finest Greek food in the GTA. The Blue Donkey Streatery has only been open for a few weeks, but it’s already causing quite a commotion. Created by the same guys who started Toronto hotspots the Drake Hotel Café, Sneaky Dees and Caffe Demetre, the Blue Donkey Streatery was intended to open during the infamous A La Carte fiasco. Luckily for us, that didn’t happen. And now the Blue Donkey Streatery is the latest vendor to hit Celebration Square. The Streatery serves all of the items you’d expect at a Greek restaurant, like souvlaki, gyros and Greek salads – but all for under $8. They also offer a unique take on Canadian classics, like Greek-inspired poutine and grilled cheese sandwiches. On any given weekday you can find the Blue Donkey Streatery at Celebration Square between 11am and 7pm, but to be safe, check their location via twitter and Facebook. So keep your eyes peeled for the Blue Donkey Streatery driving around Mississauga – you won’t miss it.
