For years, Mississauga has been somewhat of a sibling to Toronto. Trying to break out of the shadow cast by the next-door-megacity. However, in recent times, Mississauga has been on the rise. With projects like the Sheridan College of Technology and Advanced Learning, the new Sheridan College Hazel McCallion campus, and more, the city is being propelled to a global scale.With that, we’ve prepared a list of the top 5 projects that have or will put Mississauga on the map in a grand way. 1.Mississauga Civic Centre’s Celebration Square. A new city centre with the potential of projects like New York’s Bryant Park. 2.The Downtown21 Master Plan. A plan to develop Mississauga’s Downtown core involving land-owners, development companies and the general public. 3.Parkside Village.
