This summer, “Celebration Square” in Mississauga’s downtown core, will host over 100,000 visitors to celebrate the 8th annual Mississauga Rotary Ribfest sponsored by Amacon. In previous years, the Mississauga Rotary Ribfest has been extraordinarily popular as a group outing for families and friends alike, where they have been treated to great food, fun demonstrations and entertainment. In anticipation for this year’s event, the Rotary Club, as well as Amacon Developments held a special event for past and potential Ribfest sponsors. Representatives from Coca-Cola, Rona, a “Gold Sponsor” of $5,000, Amacon, a sponsor of $25,000 and many others attended, including Ron Starr of the City of Mississauga, who gave a speech on the importance of giving back. Last year, Amacon Mississauga Rotary Ribfest raised $98,000, all of which went back to the community, helping support institutions such as the Trillium Health Centre. This year, we expect to exceed last years amount and give back to a community that has already given so much to us.
